HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) is like a kind of modern Scart featuring a digital
picture (much like DVI) and digital sound (like coaxial
sound) all in one.
HDMI is compatible with DVI, so you can change a HDMI into a DVI or DVI into HDMI with just an adaptor/cable. The only real negative thing about HDMI is that it still uses copper cables and not optical cables which I would have like to seen. Optical cables would have allowed for greater distances, a single cable and higher bandwidth. |
