Release on 16th December

Over at Frontier Developments, the final release date for Elite: Dangerous has been set; the 16th of December 2014 the game should go live. So just over a month to ago!



The current beta (version 3) is set to run for another 2 weeks, ending on the 22nd November. After-which all testers will get to play a preview-release until the official launch on the 22nd of Dec. Im guessing all players will be reset on the 22nd Dec, so everyone is in the same position.

However once the game is out, the team are planning to add more features to the game (in a DLC type fashion). One of the most popular features - planet landing, wont be in the December release but will be added later on. Other things such as walking around stations/ship could be added too.

Frontier have posted a small video saying what feature they would like to add to the game;
