I use the heck out of this ship.

In addition to the boarding support role that JoelN suggested, it is also a great little automated trader. The cargo bay is nearly as big as a basic Mercury, but the shields and speed are much better.

I use it for EQ Dock Commercial Agent. I use it for CLS duty in sectors where there is likely to be enemies.

Also, the fighters docked at it never seemed to scanned by police, so it makes a decent playership for smuggling illegal goods. Put it in the fighters and use use the Chokaro's space for legal goods and jumpfuel, and go make friendly with the pirates without worrying about the police scanning you. Sure, you can do that in any TM, but it feels right doing it in a Yaki ship...

The Chokaro is actually a turn-off to most players because it cant hold that 4th ship. When resupply ships though this pocket carrier is the king of them all. With a cargo boot sometimes twice the size of other TM ships, it can hold more than just fighters and energy cells. I actually find the abundance of cargo MORE useful than having that 4th ship. What I like to do when it comes to resupply when I am doing my capture raids, I use this with a jumpdrive and jumpdrives on ships docked in its hangar. When I need to get a ship outta the "hot zone", I simply jump in the Chokaro, freight exchange the jumpdrive and however many energy cells needed to jump to safety then exchange a jumpdrive from a fighter to the Chokaro so it can jump away safely. As for combat, I avoid getting my chokaro in any scrapes, because its weapons maneuverability, and strength are too low to be in protracted firefights.

cheap, fast, moderate cargo, very easily accessible (although a bit hard to equip right away) - works perfectly for transporting goods that are not as heavy (weapons) or in moderate amounts (some tech wares).
