Plot #1 guide (Page 43 of 43)

Plot guide

Thoughts and conclusions

Well, we started off with Yisha joining us on the Albion Skunk many.. many hours back. It would be nice to know more of Ren's back-story - we were kind-of thrown into the role. How did he find the ship? etc.

Its good that an introduction into the game was part of the story-line. In other x-games you are expected to know what to do, and how to do it. This used to alienate quite a few new players.

After playing the plot awhile, it does get a bit boring - telling you where to go, and what to do. In one way it good to have something to follow (ie. a goal), but in another it can make you feel you are on a lead. For an open-end sandbox game I dont think this is a good feel. The plot should leave you to do a few things yourself.

The next point to touch on was the bugs - I found at-least 2 major ones - that forced me to either edit my save, or use a cheat.exe. I know these issues will be fixed in time, however when writing this guide these bugs were major ones.

Then we have the very disappointing end battle - if you can call it that. The Xenon sat around like stuffed-lemons, letting me do whatever I like. The Xenon are supposed to be like the big bad guy in space.

All in all; a bit boring and ultimately disappointing... shame.
