GDI Units

GDI Soldier
The GDI Soldier is GDI's standard unit. GDI soldiers carry a rifle, which can do adequate damage to other lightly armoured units, but to heavily armoured units it does minimum damage. Despite their inadequate firepower, when in numbers they can still be a pain in the butt.
GDI Officer
If the GDI Soldier proves to be inadequate, then the GDI Officer is a better choice. With his AR7 Condor Chain Gun, which is much more powerful than the GDI Soldier's rifle, he can easily take down enemy infantry and lightly armoured units. But when it comes to heavily armoured units, then the GDI Officer is in big trouble. When used in numbers, these guys are a serious threat to enemy infantry. But vehicles can easily dispose of him.
Grenadier
The Grenadier uses the standard-issue Kestrel grenade launcher which works just fine for taking down enemy units, but still compared with other weapons, the Kestrel grenade launcher isn't such a good idea, because the Grenadier could do damage also to his team-mates. And the vehicles can also easily dispose of him.
Shotgun Trooper
The Shotgun trooper, again, is also very effective against enemy infantry, because the shotgun he carries does quite adequate damage to an enemy infantry unit, especially when aimed for the head. Believe me, the Shotgun Trooper isn't the fellow you'd like to meet up close on the battlefield. But vehicles can easily dispose of him.
Sydney
Like father, like daughter? Yes, Sydney is also very bright like her father Dr. Ignatio Mobius. Sydney, Dr. Mobius daughter is a chief researcher in the GDI research factories. She works by Dr. Mobius side and experiments with Tiberium and the effects of it. Sydney wants to help her father to find an antidote for the Tiberium menace. She has even designed a Tiberium based weapon, the Tiberium rifle, to put this cursed mineral in a good use. It's a killer weapon for the Nod infantry. Later she designed the Prototype Assault Suit. Sydney also thought that GDI's Ion Cannon technology could come in handy in a gun. So she also designed the powerful Personal Ion Cannon which can easily destroy vehicles, lightly and heavily armoured alike, and also enemy infantry. At the same time when she is tearing up the enemies, the Prototype Assault Suit protects her from enemy fire.
Patch
Eric Wulfe, also known as Patch, was once a member of the German terrorist organization GS9, as a grenadier. His abilities with explosives came in handy when he joined GDI. His abilities were greatly honoured and so he became a part of GDI's best commando team - the Dead 6. On the battlefield he carries his trusty Tiberium based weapon - the Tiberium Flechette rifle. With that baby he can take down all the Nod soldiers who dare to challenge him. Also vehicles should fear him and his devastating weapon.
Gunner
Nigel Grant, a sharo tongued Englishman, worked for the Special Boat Service as an operative for the British. If you dare to mention five o'clock tea then you'll get a knuckle sandwich. Nigel is a tough Afro-English and he has been toughing it out everywhere in London and in the pubs. When he joined the GDI, everybody noticed his abilities and thought that he might be useful for the best commando team. So he joined the ranks of the Dead 6, as a rocket soldier. He doesn't complain about the hard work or carrying that heavy rocket launcher. He doesn't complain about the hard life either. It seemes that he even enjoys the tearing up of Nod vehicles.
Dr. Mobius
Dr. Ignatio Mobius is GDI's chief scientific advisor and he is also protected by the GDI, because of his intelligence he is highly valuable for the Nod. It seems that Dr. Ignatio Mobius is the most intelligent man on the entire planet. He was the one who helped the GDI to catch up with the Nod in Tiberium refining technology. He also experiments with Tiberium, but only for good. Even though Tiberium is really very lethal to all living things, Dr. Ignatio Mobius thinks, that with his and his daughters, Sydney's, experiments, he could free the world of Tiberium forever and put the deadly Tiberium in a good use. On the battlefield he is equipped with a powerful laser gun, that is the best weapon for taking down enemy infantry and destroying enemy vehicles and buildings.
Engineer
Even though this unit doesn't carry any lethal firearms, he's one of the most important units for GDI. He carries the standard issue 'Gizmo' Repair Gun. With that he can repair almost anything - buildings, units and vehicles. So they are useful in the battlefield, because they can heal a damaged unit or just keep zapping him with the Repair Gun so that the unit wont get any damage at all. Engineer also carries a lot of explosives. With them he can blow up entire buildings and also enemy infantry and vehicles. He can also dispose of enemy planted explosives by simply zapping them with his Repair Gun.
Hotwire
Shai Aviv, also known as Hotwire, grew up on the mean streets of Jerusalem, where witnessing daily acts of terror inspired a tight lipped commitment to the GDI cause. There she joined the ranks of GDI's best commando team, the Dead 6. She carries the standard issue 'Gizmo Repair Gun just like the Engineer. With that she can repair buildings, infantry and vehicles at double the speed of regular Engineers. She also carries a lot of explosives. With those she can mine the base from any Nod attacks. She can also blow enemy buildings sky high with those explosives.

NOD Units

Nod Soldier
The Nod Soldier is Nod's standard unit. Nod soldiers carry a rifle, which can do adequate damage to other lightly armoured units, but to heavily armoured units it does minimum damage. Despite their inadequate firepower, when in numbers they can still be a pain in the butt.
Nod Officer
If the Nod Soldier proves to be inadequate, then the Nod Officer is a better choice. With his AR7 Condor Chain Gun, which is much more powerful than the Nod Soldier's rifle, he can easily take down enemy infantry and lightly armoured units. But when it comes to heavily armoured units, then the Nod Officer is in big trouble. When used in numbers, these guys are a serious threat to enemy infantry. But vehicles can easily dispose of him.
Flamethrower
This guy is really dangerous and literally hot! He is equipped with a close range flamethrower, which is most effective against infantry, vehicles and also buildings when used in numbers. Still the Flamethrower is vulnerable to enemy attacks and he should be protected by another unit.
Chem-Warrior
Nod Black Hand units are often promoted and trained into a Chem-Warrior. This infantry uses V2 "Venom" model Chemical Distributors. This deadly weapon sprays lethal streams of highly volatile concentrated Tiberium compound. These devices were first used for fertilising the Tiberium Fields. But then the Nod discovered that they could be of use in combat. The Chem-Warrior is also protected against other Tiberium based weapons and also Tiberium thanks to the suit he wears.
Rocket Soldier Officer
GDI units should watch out for this guy - he's deadly against any units. Blowing infantry to bits is everyday job for the Rocket Soldier Officer, he does it without blinking. Also vehicles, heavily and lightly armoured alike, aren't a problem. Any sniper problems? Don't sweat - this Nod unit takes care of them too. If he doesn't get killed first.
Black Hand Chameleon
Forget the Rocket Soldier Officer - the Black Hand Chameleon is like a ghost and you know that ghosts cannot be killed so easily... This guy is the elite of the elite, one of the best units the Nod have. The Black Hand Chameleon is equipped with the state-of-the-art Stealth Suit and a fast shooting laser rifle, making him like a small Stealth Tank which can sneak into enemy buildings and blow them sky high. The Black Hand Chameleon also needs brains besides brawn - when the two sides are fighting at the front-door, the Black Hand Chameleon easily just goes from the back-door, steps in a building, plants a C-4 and pop goes the building. If you counter events like doors opening and closing with no apparent reason, see a fellow Mammoth Tank destroying your own base or hear footsteps when no one's around, then expect to be soon killed.
Black Hand Heavy Weapons Specialist
The same time when the Black Hand Chameleon's are sneaking near the back-door, the Black Hand Heavy Weapons Specialist's are the best to be on the front lines. Their range is adequate and their Laser Chain Gun should eliminate all the threat from the enemies. Even the Mammoth Tanks should fear them. But their heavy armour makes them very slow and thus making them also an easy target for snipers.
Black Hand Sniper
When a soldier is lucky, he is selected for the Black Hand team. When he has even more luck, quick eye and reflexes, he is given the title of Black Hand Sniper. He is the right man for sniping out enemy infantry and taking them quietly down with his trusty Sniper Rifle. But when he should encounter any vehicles or angry rocket soldiers, it seems that he has finally run out of luck.
Engineer
Even though this unit doesn't carry any lethal firearms, he's one of the most important units for Nod. He carries the standard issue 'Gizmo' Repair Gun. With that he can repair almost anything - buildings, units and vehicles. So they are useful in the battlefield, because they can heal a damaged unit or just keep zapping him with the Repair Gun so that the unit won't get any damage at all. Engineer also carries a lot of explosives. With them he can blow up entire buildings and also enemy infantry and vehicles. He can also dispose of enemy planted explosives by simply zapping them with his Repair Gun.
Technician
Nod's best Engineers are promoted to Technicians. He carries the standard issue 'Gizmo Repair Gun just like the Engineer. With that he can repair buildings, infantry and vehicles at double the speed of regular Engineers. The Technician also carries a lot of explosives. With those he can mine the base from any GDI attacks. He can also blow enemy buildings sky high with those explosives.
General Raveshaw
General Gideon Raveshaw is the leader and the founder of Nod's terrorist group called Black Hand, that deals with kidnapping, assasinating and with other dirty tricks. General Raveshaw is good looking and smooth as silk. He doesn't want to get any dirt on his boots so he just snipes the enemies out with his Railgun.
Sakura
Sakura first worked for GDI, in their best commando team, the Dead 6. There she met Havoc and they become partners. But later she joined the ranks of the Nod. Maybe because of the money, maybe she was threatened. But now she is one of them, an enemy to the GDI and also an enemy to Havoc. She carries the deadly Sniper Rifle, which can easily dispose of an enemy infantry in a single shot, if aimed for the head. So better stay out of her site.
Mendoza
This guy is the deadliest of the Nod. He is a stone cold killer. No mercy, no nothing. He joined the ranks of Nod because he was the right man for them. Now he is loyal to the Nod, unto death. He carries a powerful laser gun. With that he can kill enemy infantry and destroy vehicles and buildings in seconds
