Thanks to novacatt for letting me know, it looks like egosoft have posted a few videos showing the making of X Rebirth. This includes showing some in-game video footage, AI scripts and information on suns. Dont get too excited as there isnt really much shown, although its something after all this time. I thought ill better let you know:
