Metalframes Fab (station)

The Metalframes Fab processes refined steel and other alloys for the manufacture of large steel beams and numerous other heavy metal components. Even though most small and mid-sized space vessels today are no longer constructed mainly from steel, the demand for the steel is still high. In many places with higher-than-average radiation, steel-alloys can be more practical than energy shields or even PDD (poly-diamandoid). Many immobile space installations are constructed with a metal-alloy skeleton at their core.
