From 25,000 to 1 Million credits you will be offer the chance to look for a abandoned ship. On the BBS you should see something like this:



If you do look for the ship, you will be given 3 coordinates to search. You may find nothing, or even a mine (evil laugh) but you could find a 6+ million credit ship fully armed.
