In the Argon Campaign on AP, I am at the point where the Commander says that the mess will take a while to clean up, help with the war effort. i am helping with the war effort and have been for about 10 hours game time. I don't think the story is advancing... any ideas?

Sorry m8, I choose the Terran start - so no plot for me. I am thinking of doing the plot when 2.0 comes out although.

If it's after the plutarch battle, then it's over. I even went to the contested sectors to destroy terran ships until I searched the net for a walkthrough and found that I finished the plot. Now I kinda wish I hadn't, cause the commander keeps talking every 5 minutes deactivating my SETA.

Ta Da! Congrats, you completed the AP plot lol

Isn't it very depressing?

If that doesn't scream, "just tossed together", I'm not sure what will.

You could probably finish the plot in an hour. Seriously. short, I was hoping there to be a massive fleet battle, with more than just 2 ships. I was hoping that you get to invade more inner sector :/

At the moment all the Commander says is one of the following,

"We are making a push for asteroid belt, get to it'

"The terrans have taken over Omicorn Lyrea Our defenses in Omicron Lyrea are under attack, give them a hand."

"Pilot, we have lost contact with everything in Asteroid belt, find out what's happening."

When you go for the attack on asteroid belt, the Commenwealth ships just fly to the other side of the sector and maybe one jumps through to Jupiter. Normally it is a Boron ship in my case, and somehow the terrans ignore it and go for me.

The omicron lyrea one is easy, just destroy a few ships and done.

The lost contact is stupid as when I jump in there are at least 3 or 4 capitol ships in there.

Well done Ego, for making a rubbish campaign.

Yeah, I completely understand. It's very depressing. It's to bad they didn't spend more time into AP. Honestly, I knew the game would be a "work in Progress", after the plot. Just comes to show though, the major "difference" between TC and AP. TC is worth the money over AP. Who knows, by the time rebirth comes out, who honestly cares what they do to AP Wink

That is, if Rebirth is one hell of a game.

I wish I heard this message!
Jupiter, Omicron Lyrae and Elysium of Light have never changed hands in my game. The defenders are looking a bit battered though and the missile spam seems to be easing slowly, (at least till the RRF turns up).

Somewhere out there is a Cobra Mk III with my name on it.
It isn't mine, some rando actually wrote my name across the side of his ship...

I decided to stop fighting, after a battle with a few Terran ships in Jupiter. I lost most of my fleet. After I got everything I could out there was 3 fighters, originally 30, and only 1 capital left, my Boron megaloodon, with 3% hull. I have about 50 million credits left. Most my 1.1billion went on fixing ships. I could not afford to repair the ship so I sold it, got about 15 million for it. I sold my fighters which brought my total up to about 73 million. I sold my M7 for 30 million. And bought an Argon Skiron from Legends Home. I thought I would relax a little take a break. Cost 14 million for the M6, after upgrading it adding weapons and buying and upgrading 4 M3 escorts I had about 50 million left. I vought a Solar Power Plant L and placed it in PTNI Headquarters, after spending ages looking for crystals (bought a super freighter slammed a jumpdrive in) it is producing a steady flow of cash, although crystals are hard to come by at the right price at the moment.

After stopping fighter I heard the Commander come through the Com;

'Were maiking some great progress in our fight against the Terrans.'

'Report on the front line, heavy losses on both sides'

'Our stations in Asteroid belt are under attack' (did not realize we had taken that sector)

'We have lost a lot of ships to mine in Heretics End, find out whats happening'

The war was going well without me... fair enough. I seemed to have a negative impact on the war. I will stick to accepting various combat missions and floating on the stocks and shares.

One problem though, if I accept a combat mission, because of my high combat rank, I get a couple of M7s to fight... hang on i am in an M6. I usually find somewhere the sells Hammer head missiles. And blow the M7s to pieces from a distance.

So the story, well the war side of it is advancing because I am not in it... fair enough game.

I know how you feel, when you get involved with the war missions you often feel very overwhelmed with all the capital ships in the battle. However when you say screw it, ill do something else, then the battle continue just has well. Its a shame we dont have more actual reward when helping or seem to effect the over-come. If anything its worth avoiding the war missions - silly really.

I could not agree more, the only reward you really get is the one from the police licence, and that's only in Argon sectors (or what ever licence you have) and 10,000 for destroying an M1/2 is a bit... rubbish. I can gain more one mission on a station than spending hours in the war effort.

...and, if you started with the Terrans (like me), there is no police licence for the Terrans!

I agree that the police rewards are abit rubbish (although not so bad for small ships). I guess ego never got around to updating it over in the x-games. 10k for an M1/2 is not enough... maybe 50k or 100k would be better. What are the rewards for M6/7's?

You need to get your combat rating up (do some 'protect the station' missions) and the storyline will continue.
