Time for Rifles

Once you had your conversation with Idmanckardet, you will need to talk your Pirate friend in Holy Vision beta. You tell him that you have managed to rescue Idmanckardet and have a plan to stop the Duke's henchmen. You need to break into the Hub and realign the gates manually to another sector.

He figured you would return (when your after something), so you ask him if he has any ideas? He doesnt recommend a direct attack on the Hub, but instead steal weapons from guys suppling the security forces. Once you have the rifles return to him at Holy Vision gamma. He will supply you with a Cargo Bay Hacker. You will get some notes about the new hacking device;

The Cargo Bay Hacker allows you to bypass systems that would normally prevent wares from being beamed out of the cargo bay using a Transporter Device. While the system itself is not illegal, using it on stations or ships without authorisation is considered an act of aggression which may result in retaliation and loss of reputation. The system requires both a Transporter Device and a Freight Scanner to be installed on the same ship. It also requires a trigger to be defined, since most ships do not have one set up by default. This is usually done in the control scheme, where pilots can choose a free key slot, allowing them to start the hack with a single key press.

The system requires the user to be close to the target object. For smaller objects, the range is around 300m, but this extends to 600m for larger ones. Once initiated, the interface shows a list of the transferable wares. Selecting a ware prompts the user for the quantity, and transfer starts once this has been confirmed. The time taken for the transfer to complete will depend on the type of ware, and security measures may be triggered, aborting the process entirely. Attempting to transfer wares from a hostile ship is extremely unlikely to succeed, since their security systems will already be on full alert once your approach has been detected.

So the first thing it mentions is that the Cargo Bay Hacker needs a key bound to it. To do this head towards your control options (bottom left option in the menu), select the Game tab, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and add your own bind;

Selecting a bind for the Cargo Bay Hacker

Make sure to save the bind after adding them. You will also need a Transporter device and Freight scanner too.

So your job now is to steal 21 Disintegrator Rifles (odd number I know). These will be on Paranid Demeter's named Paranid Weapon Transporter Demeter, travelling from Holy Vision delta to the HUB;

Finding Paranid Weapon Transporters

When you find a ship, get close to it (under 500m) and press the button for your hacker. Now select the rifles and steal as many as you can before the ship goes hostile. After it does, you will need to pick another ship and steal from that one. Repeat the process until you have a total of 21 rifles. You dont need to destroy the ship.

Once have all 21 rifles you will need to deliver them to the Pirate leader in Holy Vision beta. He tells you that he has a plan of what to do next;
It's pretty straight forward: you enter the HUB and draw the Duke's ships away from the station. Once you've done that, we will enter the HUB sector and escort the Paranid Scientist to the HUB station. We will take him to the control chamber, where he will activate the gate leading to safe space.
With that done, return to The Void epsilon (a long flight back) and talk to Ramanckatsalss. You tell him about the recent events and how the Pirate group have been helping. Ramanckatsalss isnt convinced, but says everything is ready to retake the Hub.
