Well, I didn't play much yet (a few days only) but I have to say:

Jaguar Raider

Not that effective I have to admit, but soooo brilliant fun!

I agree with the not that effective. It would not put up much of a fight. Firstly it only had 1x1mj shield. Although it takes APACs and has moderate laser energy i think it would be destroyed before given the chance to fire. I would use this ship as a decoy it is very fast over 550m/s, and hope that hostiles would follow so they become sitting ducks to the M6 or M1 the Jaguar Raider was launched from.

M1- Split Raptor
M2- Split Python
M3- Perseus Proto
M4- Split Scorpion
M5- Pirate Harrier
M6- Centaur Mk2
M7- Themis, though I haven't had much time with it. I just love the Flaks
TS- Demeter Hauler/Superfreighter
TL- Split Elephant
TP- Never used one of these
