Split Python Shields ??

I have 2 split pythons protecting black hole sun.

both capped but i have only just realised that there is a problem with the shields they say 8GJ 4x2MJ Shields but only 6MJ is installed ??? 3x2MJ.

have them have been upgraded have enough cargo space but won't install the last 2GJ Shield.

Has anyone else noticed this

Aight, I heard of this earlier, You must have the game as pre-(whatever update where the Pythons sheilds increesed to 4 update).The pythons you capped were Spawned pre-previous update, So they only have 3 sheild spots. If you cap a newly spawned ship, It will have 4 sheild bays insteed of 3. Basicily the ships won't mount 4 sheilds unless you buy new ones. (forgive my spellings)

If you reverse engineer and old one, will the schematic build new version ships? I would expect so, but I'm not sure how the system works.

I would think that would work, although it will take awhile to reverse and build another.

These were split RRF which i had capped with jump beacons on.

I have not done the plot at all yet !!
