When trying to look for Bertrandite within 20lyrs of Yembo,
nothing is found. Same when using Valda as the origin point.

Bertrandite is located in Wonneriti->Coloumb Terminal. It should easily be within range
(at least of Valda).

I know as I've been exploiting these three systems (Yembo - Valda - Wonneriti) for weeks.

looks like an issue with the Wonneriti system, as no stations in it show up at all
when using the generic "Best prices" option with either Yembo or Valda as the origin point.
I had to go to the Universe search to find Wonneriti & pull up the prices.

Okay, I updated the Bertrandite entry in Wonneriti, and now it pops
up in Trade Helper. However, no other goods show up when doing the
generic "Best Prices" option, so I suspect only Bertrandite is "visible"
to the search engine currently.

hi there,

well you maybe finding that the trade-helper is dismissing the data because its over a certain age. When you updated the entry, it appeared. Basically it needs more up-to date data, to be useful.

I would propose that even slightly out of date data would be more useful
than dismissing the entries completely? The prices don't seem to fluctuate
that rapidly (although they do over time) - perhaps expand the algorithm's
method for determining out of date data by say, another month?

I've updated Yembo - Naddoddur, regardless.

Well, I wasnt quite sure how quickly the prices would change to be honest. Limiting the lifespan does mean that its dealing with less records. Ideally it need more fresher data. I think the run at Tenche has meant people havent been updating the data as much. Ill keep an eye on things and see what happens.

I know this thread is a few weeks old, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in...

What about giving the user the option to set the maximum age on data returned?

Well increasing the numbers does make the code run longer, as it needs to go although more offers. Ideally I wanted to see how it faired with more data, as awhile back I had some issues with performance that caused the server to be overloaded.

At the moment the Mk1 and Mk2 go back around month, whilst the Mk3 goes back a week (the Mk3 has to do a lot more work). I will look into extending the age soon.

[update] Trade-helper mk3 now goes back 2 weeks. Please let me know if you see any slow creation times (shown at the bottom). All should be less than 0.3 second. If its still low, then I guess my optimization is working.
