Question about the Game

I am new to Elite Dangerous and I have a few questions. The Game ist categorized into five small Games. ED: Horizons, ED: Horizons Legacy, ED: Legacy, ED: Arena and ED: Training and Stuff. So how I understood this is that ED: Horizons is separate from ED: Horizons Legacy but what I want to know is: Is the progress from ED: Legacy compatible with ED: Horizons Legacy? Or are they separate Games too? And to which Game is Arena and the Training Stuff connected too?
