Full Shanahan Update!

Earlier today I could only find Shanahans short update over at CNCDen, but now I've found his whole update!

The GMTP discs that went out in the first batch were mostly internal discs, meaning EA people?why you ask?...Let me use this example, lets say you just got a shiny new car and of course you want everybody to see it by driving fast and showing it off. So you assemble all of your family to take a peek at it, Why?, well think about it?if something goes horribly wrong and you run over 20 people in the process, your family will forgive you?if you run over 20 perfect strangers you are marked for life.

?So Shan what does all this mean??

Easy, the reason why some EA folk have it first is because we wanted to make sure you weren?t run over by any unforeseen problems.

?But Shan what about the public WE want to see the car?

Yes you will, and as I stated yesterday there was a problem, and until I had info there wasn?t much I could tell you until I could figure out a backup plan.

?What was the problem??

Well the car manufacturer was supposed to send the car out directly for you to see, but they ran over a few people in the parking lot.

?So what is that plan??

I had the cars send directly to me, which should arrive today and I will get out to you today /tomorrow

?When can I drive the car??

Depending on your area, my guess would be Friday/Sat/Monday.

Ole? Grand Pa Shanny always said you can?t please everybody all the time, only some of the people half the time, the rest just can?t pleased with anything that?s not what they want it to be.

Example:

When I post with no information it?s not good enough

When I don?t post, it?s not good enough

When I post with the information I do know, it still not good enough

Translation:

1. Those that are patient understand and see that this is a great opportunity no matter when they get the discs or for how long.

2. Those that are impatient whine and think that they are entitled to the world.

3. Those that don?t understand what is involved assume that the people behind the scenes are just sitting back eating pizza, have nothing else to do, and can careless about you.

I know that there are #1?s and I appreciate your understanding. The #2?s, all I can say is being impatient is ok, but remember this like a privilege not a guaranteed right . #3?s, hopefully in the years to come wisdom will let you see all sides of every situation.
