Two news items for now,

Over at CnC Source they have 50 "new"(What's new in those screenshots these days, right?) screenshots of the Generals beta.

Then, for the interview, it's a 8 questions(2 being irrelevant and off topic ) long interview over at Gen Edit 2k. If you're not convinced reading it, here's a snippit:

Will we be able to add in naval units into game mods?

The modders are a crafty bunch so it wouldn't surprise me. They'd have to be really clever.

Will there be weather effects like precipitation in Generals? If not, will modders be able to add this?

We'll see. If we get a spare cycle we'll put it in. Right now we're working hard on bugs, balance, etc.
