Chris updates!

Chris"Delphi"Rubyor (former C&C Community manager for those that don't know him.) had send a mail to the Webmasters to update the community with the latest news around the Westwood (And many other studios) movings:

Hello guys,

Even though I stepped down as community manager for the Command & Conquer franchise to pursue a position in design, I still want to make sure you are all up-to-date.

I would first like to apologize for not sending out an emergency e-mail when the big news happened at Westwood. Over the past few years it has always been a priority of mine to make sure the community was updated when events happened. Unfortunately it was necessary to stay quiet for a time until the news of Westwood's consolidation had a chance to settle in everyone's mind.

As many of you know from interviews with various Westwood staff, things are moving along. The thought of moving to L.A. is still sinking in, but ultimately we know it's for the greater good. C&C is only going to get stronger now that talent from Westwood Studios and EAP will be merged into one studio. Man am I excited! But that's me?

What have I been up to since the big news? Well, working in the industry for nine years and shipping more than 15 titles takes its toll on a person. So I've been taking some much needed time off relaxing. In about a week will know for sure how things will be shaping up. Honestly though, I would follow the design team I'm with to the ends of the earth. They are that good! And our game design is "THAT GOOD!" Generals is going rock, but it is only the beginning.

It's great to see all the sites still reporting the latest and greatest news. I'm also impressed by the positive outlook many of the webmasters have on the situation. I would like to say "Haven't we had enough with the screen shots."J/k

The community has come a long way over the past few years. I just want you to know Westwood always appreciated everything you guys did for our products. Your hard work and dedication inspired our developers to do better. I know it inspired me, and for that I thank you.

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

As you can see, he's not sad, so why should we be?
