Loaded Inc recently interviewed Harvard Bonin, here's a snippit:

Will there be support for some kind of clan rank, as in a parallel to individual ranks?

We're considering this and there is a possibility down the line.  First, we need to accommodate the vast majority of players that don't even know what a clan is.  We'll keep improving the game to accommodate them and then consider clan support.  Clans in Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revege, our previous projects, were very popular with the hardest of hardcore but weren't mainstream.  We prioritize all features and we'll consider this going forward.
