Hardvard on the bugs!

Harvard was tipped by LordP and ImmoMan about some bugs, and he shed some light to all of them:

LordP (With Immoman) was kind enough to give me a quick template. I'll see if I know the answers to some nagging questions. This is not a promise to fix any but know that we have an invested interest to keep supporting the fans. We are working hard for you. I swear!

Now, let's see...

1: SCUD Storm damage and damage spread is reduced when you upgrade to Anthrax Beta. This is very clearly evidence in the .inis as they are two entirely different weapon entries.
Harvard: Very likely a bug. Will look at in the next patch. Have to check with the lead designer though...pretty sure its not global to all the anthrax weapons. Not sure if design intended.

2: Rocket weapons (buggies, missile troopers) often don't damage Gatling Cannons. Sometimes solved by repositioning the units or force-firing.
Harvard: Really? Personally haven't noticed. Interesting and we'll check.

3: Gatling Cannon and Overlord Gatling Cannon can shoot without line-of-sight, through buildings and terrain.
Harvard: By design. A popular question. It was designed this way. May look at it to see if we think it makes the game better but its not a bug.

4: Missile Defender fires Armor_piercing rockets instead of Infantry_missile when laser locking.
Harvard: By design.

5: Air units sometimes fly off the map (minor).
Harvard: Not intended but it can happen...though not high on our list to address.

6: Purchasing Artillery Training when Inferno Cannons already have Black Napalm removes Black Napalm from the unit.
Harvard: This is a bug that we looked at. Will look at but not sure as the engineers told me before it was a nasty fix. Lower on the priority list.

7: Strategy Center bombardment cannon does not fire at units of different elevation.
Harvard: Such is 3D. Causes wacky things like this. Will look at but might not fix it.

8: Buildings damaged under construction insta-heal when completed.
Harvard: Pretty sure its intended but I'll check with design.

9: Units do not force-attack disguised enemy Bomb Trucks if you tell them to force-attack before the truck is in their range.
Harvard: Heard of this one. Haven't had it myself but I'll put it on the list of things to check.

10: Flashbangs damage landed chinooks.
Harvard: Heh, don't land them! Anyway, will check it out.

11: Units being repaired by Propaganda are not affected by Emergency Repair.
Harvard: Its likely a by product of our "no stacking repair" rule. We'll check it out though.

12: The GLA "particle cannon being fired" message has the word "enemy" in it, even if it is your ally or one that you have stolen.
Harvard: Yes, we know of this but we'd rather address hard core gameplay issues. Will check it out, however. Eventually we'll hit this one.

13: When players disconnect, their units explode, but when they surrender their allies get it. It'd be nice if their allies got their stuff in both cases.
Harvard: By design. Will check on if designers want to make it for both.

14: GLA workers can't build or repair if they have a full load from a supply dock. They just stand around.
Harvard: Will check it out. I've seen this and it can be annoying.

15: Crusader actually benefits more from Composite Armor than Paladin.
Harvard: Really? Wacky. Will check it out.

16: Nuke Cannons sniped by Jarmen Kell while deployed are unable to move ever again, regardless of who takes them.
Harvard: Ewwwwww. Will look at it.

17: Workers/Dozers sometimes will just sit by a building they were told to construct and not start working.
Harvard: Have seen this rarely but might be an invasive fix. Will check.

Just a few...thanks to ImmoMan's thread for some btw.
Harvard: Thanks to you both for the easy to read thread.

PS. LordP and ImmoMan are hired for QA! (actually, I have to get head count approved, interivew you, etc...but man, good stuff!)

Thanks to Lion from CNCDen!
