EAComMike on the microphone....err typophone!

Or...whatever. Anyway, EAcomMike(or Mike) introduced himself just as he said he would:

All,

I've been sneaking around the Generals forums for about a week now, making small changes here and there, posting new forum rules, and talking to a handful of you through PM's. I think it's time to introduce myself.

I'm EAComMike (or just Mike), the Community Manager for EA GAMES. I've been at Electronic Arts going on 5 years now, and have been working in EA GAMES for the last 2.5 years.

What do I do here? I manage content and communities for the following franchises (or EA websites):

Battlefield 1942
Medal of Honor
Lord of the Rings
James Bond 007
Need For Speed
And now Command and Conquer, including Generals

So what?s my role in the Generals Community? For the moment, it?s not yet fully defined. However, I?ll be working closely with Col. Burt ? EAP to define this, and to open up the communication gap between community and studio. This means weekly community updates (even on the patch you?re all drooling to get your hands on), and a more robust Generals (or C&C) website (coming soon) with weekly updates.

I?m not going to answer every post here in the forums, as I don?t have that kind of bandwidth, but I?ll do what I can do, to address some of the issues being talked about. Keep in mind though, some of these things are time consuming, and there won?t always be a fast resolve.

So there you have it. I look forward to hanging out on occasion and speaking with the bulk of you.

-Mike

Great things to look forward to. I think the community has slowly started rolling again. After the loss of many sites and webmasters, the new games and these new ideas might just be the ignition for some new breathe of life into this community.
