Chrono let all of us know that the mod is alive and in production:

Partly to reassure you that Blitzkrieg 2 is not dead yet, I felt the necessity of informing you all the latest status of the mod here. Progress has been considerably slowed down last month but we are far from dead. Currently most of the members are stuck by personal matters and school work, but soon, after the school year ends, we will post up our first ingame screenshot on the main page. By ingame screenshot I mean a real game shot showing buildings, actual gameplay, unit models, cameos as well as our own control bar images that T0N!C has been working hard on. We expect that to happen within one week; as for the mod, it will be released, sooner or later, and it is definitely not going to take as long as Blitzkrieg 1.
