According to Cabal, leader of CNC World and founder of CNC Community, a lot of progress has been made, read with me in this update:

For those of you that don't know about CnCCom i'll write a brief summary of the site and it's aims... before keeping you guys updated with the status of the site. If you already know about the site you can skip to the status report.

Firstly the reminder. CnCCommunity.net (CnCCom) is going to be a community website managed by the community, for the community. Members from community websites will have the opportunity to post on the site to let visitors know what is available on their sites, as well as keep you updated about events, contests etc that are happening in the community. The idea is to be the hub for the C&C community - allowing anybody to see what is happening on any site.

The second portion of the site will be for the developers. We will have a section where past and present members of the C&C Development teams will post news directly for people to see. There will also be a page for each member of the development team who will be participating (currently 18), as well developer diaries and anything else that the team wish to post.

-----

Now for the status of the site. The layout is coming along nicely - and should be finished soon. We have finally found a news script that is suitable and are currently in the process of setting it up - and then we will skin it.

The content has been started, but isnt finished yet. We won't be having the same content as a regular fansite - because we will be a fansite hub. We will be having articles, special features etc tho. We have a few people making them but we aren't going to wait for them to be finished before launching.

Lastly... the request. If anybody is interested in writing articles or creating special features for the site then please let me know either by e-mail - membership@cnccommunity.net or by pm on the forums. We would also love to hear any suggestions you have for the site. Also.... if you work on a C&C fansite and would like a user area set up on the news script then please e-mail membership@cnccommunity.net with the username and a contact e-mail address for each user area required. Also please tell me which site you work on.

Thanks for reading... and we hope you will be visiting us regularly once we launch.

I'll keep you updated

-Cabal

PS: We have the log of the community chat with Harvard Bonin which took place the other day at CnCCom. Visit http://www.cnccommunity.net and click on the photo of Harvard to read it.

I recommend everyone reads the chat log. It has some great information about Worldbuilder, the Ladder Kit, future announcements and more!
