I didn't hate NMS but I didn't stick for long. I wasn't a fan of the cartoony look, and I wish there was a bit more combat and interesting spots. Didn't like how every planet felt like a zoo neither.

On the other hand I've been playing just a tiny bit of Starfield (cuz I'm trying Lies of P too) and I've been having a blast. I much prefer the art direction, locations are more interesting to explore (set and procedural ones), missions have been more fun and I'm enjoying the combat way more.

So should I get Elite (and its dlc)? I'm also a bit clueless on what is there to grind for. In the other two you can build a base, complete a main mission, join factions or upgrade your character stats, but I don't think this one has those things. Other than exploring, completing missions and upgrading your ship, what else is there to do?
