Ive been meaning to get the game, it was on my wishlist however now its unavailable.[the moment its on sale aswell] My question is if a friend gets it for me- will i be able to run it? I heard it works for some games and some not.

Depends if the key still activates tbh. If your friend already owns it and gifts it directly through Steam there's a decent chance it’ll work. Kinda annoying timing tho with the sale lol.
