C&C:Ammo was a website that I used to code around 6 years. The site was hosted on planetcnc.com but later got shut down (I think it got too similar to planetcnc.com and there other problems too). I thought that I had lost all the code for the site however just recently I have unearthed a disc with Ammo on it. I have re-looked at code and have started uploading here:

I never got any of the downloads for ammo, but I did find that I had the DB and all the code. One note: on this server I dont have the resources to host files but I do have the resources to re-host ammo (file downloads take up a lot of space and bandwidth).
For now however I am trying to see if I can re-contact all the staff from the site however 6 years is a long time. Any old staff members who register on this site will be given staff rights on ammo (at the moment this allows you to post news, edit news, approve links). I could re-write the POTM updater too but this time it would only ask for 1 picture and rescale it for a thumb-nails, I would also use auto-naming too (I saw some POTM's were broken because of this).

Welcome to my site, forum etc. 
hmmm.. its a bit of a question what to do with ammo, some of the building blocks are missing - the staff. When Ammo ran 6 years ago, there was a group of staff who posted news, new content, articles etc. I cant really keep up with all C&C news around myself, and I dont have the same resources when we were hosted under planetcnc, but there's enough to run the site, forum etc. 'big' downloads are the problem > 5mb
I have been replacing the old code with my new 'improved' code - which is like 10 times better.. no really! I personally haven't been putting much time into Ammo just recently, because no comments or forum posts. I have just recently built an arcade and wrote this forum (its not a pre-built one like phpbb3).
Ammo, news system has been replaced my 'new' version, the POTM updater is working and done some code to add mods and maps to the site (can be expanded to more games, just need a list
).
If Ammo develops more then I might think about re-doing the design - its a bit dated now.
So what ya think? also, it would be nice to know more about you!

Actually I think we have to get more designs in here, anyway about my self I have experience in websites leading I have my own C&C site and I'm a staff member on another website, any other questions?

That's looking good - I hope you can understand why I wanted to know more about you?
I can give you ammo staff rights and that would allow you to post news/edit, change POTM's, approve links and add maps/mods to the list. I guess for news I need a way of uploading images?

That's the thing that I always understand..
In which group Im going to be?? Global Moderator?
and about the image hosting if you can't host any images on your site you can use there is so many image uploader sites.

Hi there,
You are now a Ammo staff member, so you should be able to post news etc. there. I will add both C&C: 3 and 4 sections in a sec.
As for picture uploading, its not that I cant host pictures - its just I haven't written the code to do it I already have an uploader on my PS3 section but it would need a quite few changes to 'fit' Ammo. Would pictures on Ammo need thumb-nails created? The whole site is kind-of work in process, so please bare with me.
As for the forum, you would be a global mod - haven't coded in local mods. I still need to add the function to allow mods/admin to edit other people post(s) lol. I will give you mod rights soon (when you have posted on Ammo a little - just mod rights allows you to 'destroy' this forum, I have to be careful. Hope you understand).

I have created both C&C3 and C&C4 boards and news sections. To post news about a game, goto the game ie. Red Alert 2 then scroll down to the bottom and click add news. If you do this on the main page, then its for the site or just generally.
I can add your avatar but you will need to email it to me (click Roguey at the bottom for details) and I will change it for you.

Oh, your a normal user here - on the forum, but on Ammo you have full staff rights ie. you can add news, potm's etc. (check the staff page on Ammo). I will give you mod rights here soon, so dont worry
