Disable Menu Beeps?

I've started playing vanilla X3TC with the bonus pack and I'm having a great time but when my mouse goes over menu items the beeps/chirps are incredibly irritating. Is there any way to disable them or change their sound built into the game? Or do I have to find some sort of mod https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/ ?
