X3 still worth it?

Sorry this might be a dumb question, but I am very new to X series space sim game, and I saw X3 and X4 both selling at the same time. I didn’t even consider X3 at all because I am stupid and thinking if there is 4 why bother with 3? Until I read some of the negative comments on X4 where people say X3 is at perfect stage, I wonder what does that mean? Is that worth it to buy X3 over X4 10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254?
