I decided i was going to be a TP pilot, just to see what BBS missions i could so i bought a Taladi Toucan and i go to the BBSs and i can't find any good missions. all they are is tour of a lifetime which gets me only 4000 credits if i am lucky. Is there anywhere to get good money for being a TP pilot or am i just wasting my time.

Well, I never looked at TP ships myself - too much money in capturing ships or trading. You dont even get to see them! Confused

Fair Dose, I think i will stick to my Taladi Osprey. I have wiped out sectors.

With an m6!!! and two Gamma Phased Shockwave Genarators.
By the way 2 Gamma PSGs are brilliant for taking out stations and capitals.

It's weird how an M6 with 2 GammaPSGs can destroy an M2s M1s stations. WIthout getting a scratch on its shields!

I know this is an old thread, but one comment on the Split Iguana TP - I've found it to be rather nice for capping with! With speed over 300 m/s and 2x25 shields, it's both faster and tougher than the Mamba - and with 1 rear turret mount plus 3 to the front, all able to hold ION (though it's limited to (i think) G-PAC for hull damage) it's also impressively armable; the steering is of course not up to fighter standards, but it still slightly beats the Dragon for steering. Just a thought for something to try!

Technically, yes, i never quite got thru with Omicron Lyrae.. but i've also gone ahead and started X3R. (i went thru both BTF and X2 last year, i hadn't heard about them before that)

Iguanas are great for capturing, as are overtuned Orinocos (from mission 2, if you managed to capture any). With a single PAC and the rest (including the turret) ions, its possible to fry all the weapons off a ship in a short time then capturing is just a matter of time following it. Orinocos are considerably better though because of their maneuverability and other weapon choices for the initial fight. Barracudas are a good choice if you don't have an overtuned Orinoco.
