I think Generals 2 is abandoned ??? isnt it ?

I'm not really sure as they have already switched to free to play, but it was said that EA could explore the Red Alert and Tiberium universes as well. I personally prefer the Red Alert universe over those two.

You said tiger that the new Generals wont have missions either, just online/skirmish battles - if I remmeber correctly?

Yes indeed, that is how it's going to be launched but they may release a Single player campaigns on later date according to them, and according to the community manager the game will only have two factions at launch, he also mentioned that there are Generals inspired factions in the works, that will be introduced later during the beta period.
