Am I missing something here? I created a character and now I'm just hopping around from system to system and so far absolutely nothing has happened. What the heck am I supposed to do? What start are you using?
Certainly the Terran start eases you into one of the main plots, AFAIR.
Otherwise have a good read through Roguey's walkthroughs as these will give an idea where you need to head for the main campaigns.
However before taking on some of the tougher campaigns, it is worth spending some time making money, upgrading your ship or buying something bigger and better. Which is why the Terran campaign is a good place to begin as at the end you get a rather nice Vidar, albeit finding the weapons for it can be a bit of a chore.
