How do you use these things? Any time I release my M3 fighters to attack my enemies, they accidentally friendly fire an ally, cause my rep to drop, and make my ally's capital ships turn their guns on me. I've tried contacting the ally ships saying it was a misfire, but then my ships continue to attack even if I tell them to stop and return to dock on my ship [/url] .

That actually makes me wonder what I'm going to do once I start building a fleet to follow me around. Will they just constantly get into battles with my allies?

the best way to avoid friendly fire is to not be in the same sector the fight is going on in. otherwise pray that nobody friendly or neutral wanders near your firefight. you may want to check your allies/enemies status on ships, and see what mode you have the turrets set to. they shouldn't start fights if they aren't already in one. also you can comm a person you accidently hit and tell them sorry a couple times to get them drop hostile status. if you are doing a mission where you got to escort a bunch of buddies, you may not want to hold off launching fighters and just take a ship that can hold its own by its lonesome.
