After looking through all the stats it seems the Deimos is a good option. Just wondered what everyone elses opinion was before I spend my hard earned credits

I personally went for the Split Tiger, i was able to 'hide' it in the Xenon K bind spot

Hey thanks for the quick reply
Yea the split Tiger seems pretty good but the lack of a hanger bay put me off.
What I wanted was a multipurpose ship which I could also complete the terran plot with.
Have you got any experience with the Deimos?

I dont have any experience with the Deimos. After I had the Tiger I moved into the Boreas. I found this was the best ship for me - M7's feel a bit half-way house - cant dock, but not was powerful as a M2.

I tried a few, but found all m7's lacking in laser energy.. The split panther is a great ship, its fast and carries lots of ships and has a front turret... The Daimos is very tough and decent for sector patrols.. The Teladi shrike has awsome front fire power and is the cheapest... But the Terran ships is by far the best apart from cargo space...

man, i been browsing for a new ship. i have 51 million to spend. i been thinking exactly what you said. they are a bit halfway. the argon cerberus is pretty good but can anyone tell me a good way of getting energy about the bloody things? i have had to use a TS parked nearby and transport em over. what a waste. SO, my advice is to do what im about to do. i plan to buy (with my 51mil) a centaur or gladiator and save for an M2. i tried the minotaur thingy but it cant even dock an M5 and has no lasers. sod that.
the very usefull M6 options CAN dock with my solar power plants and i can cap smaller ships with em all day. my M2 is only days away. now to find the perfect M2

Thanks for all the advice, after much deliberation I decided to build a huge complex instead lol.

There's been a lot of hot debate on the ES boards about which is the best M7 in TC. Personally I'm a huge fan of the Shrike. 8 docking slots for fighters, plenty of anti capital weapon options and anti fighter, and a mammoth 7k cargo bay for ammo/missiles/fuel! Win/win/win I used one to complete Final Fury a long long long time ago lol. It's also fairly cheap at 29 million creds

Mike, because you have a Cerberus you could dock a couple of Blastclaw Prototypes, they have 650 cargo space, but can be difficult to obtain. Failing that, you could cap a couple of Goner Rangers, they have 430 space, but that incites rep loss. Failing that, you could just buy some Falcon Haulers, they have 353 space, and can carry XL cargo as well! (Eg. Your guns)
I will be the one to take you down!

Goner Rangers shouldn't be able to use standard fighter docking though. As the only GO class ships they dock the same way TS/TP ships dock. I think the only ship that can dock them is the Goner Ozias (not available in vanilla).

Wait, they changed it from reunion?? Awwww that's not fun.... I liked using them, 430 cargo space was the largest out of any M3....
