Currently playing the Aldrin mission on boron escort duty.
We've been bounced by Xenon cap ships central to the system and now the loony Boron spends his time going round in invulnerable circles. All Terran ships have been destroyed and I'm glad to be in one of my Osaka class.
BUT! having been in heavy combat for the best part of 2 hours, I gave up when faced with 7 J's, 4 K's and 14 Q's. Forget the 8-12 P's and loadsa fighters. Jumping to the the gate again with 8% shields, the xenon take up 8 pages on the scroll down. Also, when I kill a J, one jumps in ( or 2). Is this normal??

hi there, and welcome to the site.

Awhile back I replayed X3TC (including the Alrdin missions) and never came across that much: 7 x J's and 4 K's. What is your combat rating? if its really high, then maybe the mission has scaled to your rank. Later on this can be a pain, as simple missions can have large spawns due to your combat rank.

Don' like the sound of that.
XTreme combat rating. When doing the corporation supply runs, the easiest way to get disruptor missiles was to take out the Xenon north of Black Hole Sun then run back to Grand Exchange. Seems theycan't be bought anywhere. Helped that I came out Terran space with an Osaka. Taking out the Xenon is not a problem, it's the constant arrival of more..and more..and more. I assume there's an end.
PS. For a kick start cheat at the very beginning, the accound credit value can be changed using Artmoney the same as in the Total War franchise.
