I had about 175 mil credits 'laying around' and figured it was time to visit a few shipyards.
First, I bought my 3rd M2. A Boreas now named "Infinity's Shore". I had plenty of weapons on some TS's and fitter her out pretty nicely.
Then I purchased my first M7M, a Cobra...and 13 additional Marines, for a total of 20. All went into training to give them all 2 or 3 'stars' in those 'skills' that can be purchased.
Finally went after a M8, my 4th Gladiator. These guys will escort my M7M.
Now...it's back to "work" to bring my credits way above the 5.5 mil I have left, and also try my luck with some boardings.

Wow, someone has been going on a spending spree. Ive been putting my credits into my complex - which I know is a slow return, but its great to have a constant money. I am trying a few marines myself:

Very impressive!
I'm just trying to get my complex together. Saving up around 50mil to get a few more factory's and get a SPP XL.
I only have about 12 Marines in training.

Complex building will be coming up shortly. I've already found a couple sectors that look promising.

hehe, I think ive gone a bit mad with marines... just buy that... ohh, there's another.. buy.. etc. Most have poor fighting skills although, so hope after a few boards they will get better without losing too many. Im thinking to board a few TL's - as some of them dont have weapons (such as the Atmospheric lifters and civilian ships (like the Arena's)).

Yea, I agree. That's what I plan on doing after my marines are trained. Going right after a TL. Good Investment

Well I was thinking of using marines to board quite a few TL's, then sell them for money. After that do a few kill missions to boost up my reputation, so can repeat without them going hostile on me. Once I get enough TL's, buy an M7M and then go shopping for M2/1's

From what I was told, you take a MAJOR rep dive just capping one. Not sure if 2 is possible.. I have Max rep with argon atm. I'll have to give it a go and see.

Some TL's and CV's are on my list of tasty targets, but I'm also waiting for the Paranid to invade Argon sectors once more.
First time I witnessed their aggression, Home of Light was practically wiped out and all I owned was a TP, several TM's, and a handful of under-equipped fighters.
Next time, a large Paranid force completely decimated the Cloudbase North West sector. I had only added a TL and a few more TS's by this time.
All I could do was stay out of way and salvage the goods containers from the destroyed stations both times.
But now..HAHA!!!

The Paranid don't offer anything of value that I don't have/own already, or can't capture. The sectors that I plan to build my complexes are nowhere near Paranid space.

lol, well im with the Terran's, so the Paranid are my friends. I havnt adventured all the way across to Argon Prime area (just been building my complex - which is now 50 stations big). It sounds interesting if there is a few Paranid attacks over there. Although all I got atm is an M6, TL and a few other smaller craft.

hehe, true I guess I should. Well ive just exited X3AP however I did take this shot from it (1080p image btw):
The complex is balanced now, so it can run itself without requiring any wares. Ill update this post with the products it makes later (from memory 1x MAML, 10 x Poltergeist, 4 phantom, 4 shadows, 8-9 Carbo cakes).

I'm just putting together my 2XL energy complex loop for the past few days now. I hate how the tube tunnel system works. SO I've managed to have all my complexes with nice looking tube systems with nothing out of line. All nice and neat with no spikes heading in the wrong direction. It can be a pain at times, but I've pretty much mastered the construction kits and how the tube algorithm works.
