There's a nice thread going on in the AP forum but there isn't one active for TC. I'm sure there is, but it's probably archived. I'm going to post a new one.

In my present game, I'm getting close to 62 days of "game play".
I've acquired what I think is a nice fleet for the style of game I like to play. Not sure about taking and posting photo's, so I'm going to list mine.

Some of the following ships were given names while most in the same class were not. These 'named' ones accompany me on many missions.

There are a total of 107 ships in my fleet.
Besides those listed, that is an additional 45 M3's, 7 M4's, and 17 freighters.

The Shrike
Wing of fighters : Nova Raider x2 - Cutlass - Blastclaw Prototype
Advanced Perseus - Personal Fighter
The Shrike's fighter wing is all capped ships except the Cutlass. Funny that I have been trying to cap some Nova Raiders since the start of my game but just recently got 2 to bail. But I got a much better personal ship now... so they got put into the wing. I had a regular Blastclaw but he died in a fire on a Xenon patrol mission.
The Perseus has 4x PBEs and 4x(+1 turret) PACs. The downside of the Perseus is the weak weapon generator, so I have it setup to have PBEs in group 1 (for capping and general shield attacks) and the PACs in group 2 (the finisher). I usually keep the wing kitted out with mosquitoes and hurricane missiles with the launch chance at 20%. They work surprisingly well if I'm not flying the shrike. I like to get in my Perseus and command the Shrike to attack all enemies. Especially for missions when they come through a gate and have the Shrike jump in behind them. It usually kills the Carraks and Qs fast enough to not even be a threat.

Ah, thanks for showing your fleet Sinxar. Good idea about making the thread, as im sure there are still many playing X3TC.
Sinxar, whats in your Shrike wing (kind-of rhymes)? I guess a couple of Nova Raiders's?

just 2x Nova Raider, 1x Cutlass, 1x Blastclaw Prototype. I just capped a Kea with most of the hull intact So i'll prolly fix it up and add it to the wing.
I keep the adv. perseus and a kestrel as personal ships. So only 6 slots left for the wing.
I was checking out the stats on some terran ships and the #deca.cefa looks like a pretty good ship for a fighter wing. I've been collecting the weapons needed for them. maybe after my current wing dies i'll pick up 6.
I wanna see cjm3fl's fleet in a battle. must be painful to command that many ships in a fight.
ed: thought it would be worth mentioning that the Shrikes' wing just got killed. looks like the pirates decided to make a move. I was camping in Maelstrom trying to cap some fighters. Killed 2 Carracks and a few wings of pirates. One Carrack retreated along with its escort. Now I have more closing in on me.

hmmm,my big ship is demuos m7from paniad.had to finsh the firstbit in final fury wheredrop the sat then scan.Choses that one because of the phased shockwaveit can carry.I noticed all the fighter dissaperared fromm sides of ship lot in back till my md went off then a lot disappeared from screen .The 6 gig sleilds helleped akot will have to rearm.if around other ships with phased schock wave I understa.f . Got several m6 5I belive ospyer ,hydra nemius and 2dragoons.piched up at used shipyards. Now does you m7and bigger have extra ships in tow?can noy get it to dock at most places due to size .can ai get a express et, inthehanger?would be easer than havibg iy follow thanks

No only m3 and smaller can dock in another ship with the exception of the Aran.

I personally don't have other ships following me like that. I find its more trouble than its worth. Some like it however, so its really personal choice.
Having a resupply freighter on standby is a great help. Once I get up to a M7 I just have ships sitting around to do stuff for me. Like I have freighters for resupply and some to buy items for other ships and things like that. I personally rarely ever dock once im in an M7.

It takes a lot of sweat to fight using a large fleet.
The most I've fought with at once was two M2's (Titan and Python), an M7 (Panther), plus the M7 (Tiger) I am flying.
I do launch fighter wings from the Panther. They are arranged in groups of 4, 6 or 8 fighters per wing..depending on what the weapons/missile load is.
Taking my Boreas into battle makes things a whole lot easier. To date, she's pretty much the master of any sector we visit that we want to clear out. So far just Xenon sectors.
I sometimes back her up with my Titan.
I am presently in my Tiger (M7) and have one of my Elephants running with me as a supply ship and mini-carrier. She's got a wing of 6 Nova Raiders, another wing of 4 Xenon 'L', and 4 non-wing fighters including both my Blastclaw Prototypes, my Skate Prototype, and my Xperimental Shuttle.
I personally dont have other ships following me like that. I find its more trouble than its worth. Some like it however, so its really personal choice.

Totally true..that it's a personal choice.
For me, it depends a lot on the mission I'm going to do.
Assassin missions--solo
Defend the Station/Patrol Sector--depends on what's closest. Sometimes I'll bring another M7 into the fight, or a wing of fighters, or a pair of M6's.
As I said above, I'm with an Elephant now and have a small mining fleet trailing a sector behind; a Mammoth and 2 Caiman XL's.
I send the both Blastclaws and the Skate to patrol, and the Xperimental Shuttle to scan asteroids.
When I went to pick up another Mammoth. I dropped about 35,000,000 cr getting her, and buying some nice stuff (weapons and missiles) on the way back.
So I'm re-building my cash position with mining and selling off a crap load of "goods" I've been carrying around. Presently back up near 6 million cr just mining and selling.

How do you like those nova raiders? As stated above, I have been trying to capture them for what seems like forever. Finally got those 2 and they seem to do pretty well vs anything that doesn't fit PBEs heh. My reasoning is the extra speed would make them a bit better overall.
Sadly mine just died to a pirate gang. those plasma burst generators... even the cutlass with its god-like shielding went down pretty quick.

I've had most of the Nova Raiders for quite a while now. I like them just fine.
If I get the chance I will add more to my fleet.
Most were 'in space' and offered for sale, or were offered for sale at stations.
I think I got most of them in the Argon Core sectors.
I do remember purchasing one (new) at the Shipyard in Omicron Lyrae.
I also like the higher speed of these guys.
That, and what they can mount sold me on them as a primary fighter.
Mine are all set-up this way---
EBC-HEPT-PRG-PRG-PRG-PRG-HEPT-EBC on the main, and a PRG mounted on the rear for missile defense.
I'm thinking of 'upping' this by replacing the EBC's with additional HEPT's.
All have 25 Silkworm missiles, but as soon as I get enough I'm replacing those with Tempest missiles.
Nothing like having 6 of these guys in a wing "covering my back"
Sorry about you loosing them. I'm sure they took some of the bad guys with them.

I just got those #deca.cefa all setup - note to self, have a CLS collect that stuff beforehand 
Anyway i put 5x experimental EMPCs 3x Prototype M/AM Launchers on the front and the 2 EMPCs on the back set to missile defense. they are set to resupply 10 missiles and 10 M/AM ammo when they dock up.
Quite honestly im impressed with their performance. I'll give them a better test later on some combat missions but they quickly eat any pirate at a decent range with the launchers and missiles.

I haven't been into the Terran territories very much.
I did look at their ships. I like a lot of them and will probably get some when I finally work my way into their territory.
Have you finished the Treasure Hunt Plot yet?
That Xperimental Shuttle you get as a reward for finishing is quite a nice ship itself.
She takes a neat mix of weapons and missiles.
The cargo space is a bit smaller then I like, but with a speed of 321 m/s she can run-down, or outrun, most fighters out there.

I ain't played TC in a while, AP is practically the same. I remember having 2 titans, a colossus, a ton of fighters and my own personal Paranid M7. Also a couple of fast split M6s as escorts for the caps.

The ads are what are probably keeping Roguey's site going, on a computer they are not that bad.
The shock-wave generator is good when your on your own, there a few ships that don't like me because they have got caught in my shockwave. The last time I really used them a lot on a ship was on X2. My Taldi Osprey could handle Gamma PSGs... until Roguey's mod took them out
Also in the last mission of X2, I equipped a paranid M3 with them and was able to easily get rid of those annoying little things you had to destroy that were attached to the Kha'ak weapon.
