I did the 'Bridging' part of the plot a long time ago so I just have to locate Plinter and begin the Plot.

My first try at it was in my X-shuttle. After finishing the first part I decided to begin again.
The X-shuttle is one hell of a little ship but it has a really limited cargo capacity.
I left a nice sized fleet at Omicron Lyrae and thought I'd bring most of it with me this time.

I stock up the ships and fighters I'm taking along.
I'm flying my personal M7, a Tiger. My newly acquired Griffon M7 is coming along too. She has one of my Blastclaw prototypes and the X-shuttle docked.
A pair of M6's are being brought along too, a Centaur and one of my Dragons.
For re-supply purposes I'm bring along a Mistral TS.

It's a much slower journey this time around. But I'm dropping advanced satellites as my fleet moves to find Plinter.

I might be over preparing myself for this mission but I think I brought along a ship to meet the needs of any part of this Plot and plenty of satellites, E-cells (which don't do much good without the jump-drive working), and missiles.

Yes, maybe a wee bit excessive, depending on your combat rank - since enemies scale to that primarily.
Remember, the terran plot was designed to be something you can do right away with the terran and the argon patriot game starts, and it's a prerequisite to 3 other plots Smile
As for the X shuttle, yes it's a fun ship, but i found it was a little too weak in combat - i think it's more lacking in weapon regen than anything else, and shield regen might be the 2nd biggest issue.
There is a chance you've overlooked one ship to add - something that's Kestrel fast.

I didn't begin the 'main parts' of this Plot until I was 91 game-days in.
My combat rank was Crusader when I began.
I picked the Blastclaw Prototype as 'my' ship this time through the Plot, with a Dragon M6 following.

Yeah, I think a Kestrel would have been a good ship to add. Next time I'm near a shipyard that offers them I'll pick on up and dock her with the Griffon.

Okay, here is some strangeness I came across.
I gathered up my fleet in Uranus and was heading to Saturn to dock and finish the first part of this Plot.

I was in my M7 and went through the TOA...exploded!
Re-start, went through again...exploded again! Seems it was a collision with something on the other side.

Hmm, I re-started again, turned my fleet away from the TOA and waited. A Terran Tokyo and her escort fleet came through the TOA. I looked into Saturn Sector this time. The other side of the TOA is pretty clear so I moved to the TOA once more. On the other side...exploded yet again!!! Bash the wall

After another re-start I jumped my fleet into the Asteroid Belt Sector, the closest Jump Gate.
Went through the TOA at the North end...and F'ING EXPLODED AGAIN!!!

It's a good thing I'm such a "save whore".
Re-started yet one more time, changed into my M6 Dragon and tried going through the TOA.

I don't know why my M7 kept exploding.
I'm just glad my M6 made it through so I could move on in the Plot.

While I was in Mars Sector to pick up my Raptor M5.
I decided I needed another TL, so I grabbed one of those Mobile Mining Base Ships.

Too much playing the Plot---too little talking about it.
My bad Confused

I completed the Terran Plot yesterday, and I just finished moving my ships back into Commonwealth space.

I walked away with all the ships, Marines, and 'rewards' from the plot:
--4 Raptor (M5)
--1 Advanced Discovery (M5)
--1 Cutlass (M3+)
--2 Scabbard (TM) each with 10 Marines
--1 Vidar (M6)
--1 Claymore (M8 )
--plus access to all the Terran Sectors

I also picked up a couple ships in Omicron Lyrae (my jump-off point) during the Plot:
--a Centaur (M6); stripped but 100% hull (less then 215,000 cr), a Caiman Miner; stripped with 80% hull (98,000 cr),and a Caiman Hauler; with minor shields and some defenses, 85% hull (169,000 cr)

And I did some shopping, just because :p
--4 Scimitar (M3)--Moon Sector
--1 Katana (M6)--Venus Sector
--1 Springblossom (M6)--Aldrin Sector
--1 Mobil Mining Ship--Mars Sector (previously mentioned)

A few things I found out while doing this Plot--some **SPOILER** information follows:

--As mentioned in Spike's guide, no need to do the 2 boardings as instructed during the Plot. The 2 Scabbards and their Marines will be turned over to you with no losses/damage, and the mission will complete.

--I like dropping satellites when I enter a Sector for the first time--DO NOT DO THIS in the Earth Sector while you are trying to dock with the Torus, to complete the Plot. Dropping a satellite turned all the Laser Towers red.

--I could not fly my personal ship out of the Earth Sector. I had to jump out.
While in-sector, the Claymore M8 "gift" couldn't fly out either. It drifting out of the "safety lane" and kept getting destroyed. Make sure you get the jump-drive upgrade (actually save yourself some hassle and get all the available upgrades while docked with the Torus) or be able to transfer a jump-drive to the Claymore before you try leaving the Sector.

Back to working on the HUB Plot while I prepare to cap an Aran.

**Completed Plots: Treasure Hunt, Goner, Final Fury, Terran, 50% complete the Ore portion of the HUB
