I have a Logitech Rumble 2. The game will ABSOLUTELY not recognize it as a valid controller. (left and right sticks cannot be un assigned.).

I just paid $65 for a Xbox 360 controller for Windows, in the hope that the 'console' controller that the game was OBVIOUSLY designed for would help my experience.

Now basic functions of the game that should be intuitive are re-mapped...am I missing something or is 'Boost' really a keyboard key now?...Did Egosoft remap to joystick and keyboard and not let any one know via the posts?

yea, quite a few people have problems with joystick with X-Rebirth. So youre not a lone.

as for the boost, its left stick, down. You can also change it from a hold down, to a toggle in the control menu.

I agree, the game has been made for xbox 360 controllers in-mind.

Thank you for the info. I am not adept at the 360 controller. It just does not feel right in my hand. I have gotten my Saitek to work in the game, but it still causes weird problems. Hopefully that gets sorted sooner than later.
