X4 and X Rebirth

I played Rebirth at launch, dropped it, and finally came back to it this week in anticipation of X4. It's not X3, but it's also not bad game, and I've been having fun with it. Now I've been thinking what things from Rebirth will be making a comeback.

Like, will the map be the same but just with added systems? Will all the X Rebirth ships make it to X4? I guess what I'm wondering is if X4 will be to Rebirth what XTension was to XBTF.

X4 already released several years ago and it is a very different game. None of the systems from XR are there and only handfull of minor ships and stationmodules have been ported. There are mods that implement more XR ships but thats all. X4 is to XR definitly not what XT was to XBTF. The differences are vastly bigger. I as someone who played the games since X2 love XR, but still to this day i cannot enjoy X4.
