Help with a modified game

Okay guy's, I'm lost.... very lost. my game is modified and a can't use any mod's because my game (files) or locked I have seen that you need to move the game to a new location. Okay where and how with out loosing my 3 year old game.I did not start in the plot driven starts, and I'v built up a good system, but would like to play the missions or at least get the UFJD to explore and capture new ships. What can I do to move my game and save it?

Hi there, Im guessing you got a modified game and you want to move it to another PC? Which game are we talking about? X3/TC/AP? if, also are we talking about a steam copy of the game or not?
