I understand what you mean. The things I would like are small things anyway, im thinking of the following:

- Upgraded model of the destroyed moon (Bod came from X2 originally). The mesh should not be over complex as there could be 10-15 in a 'background'. Its just its rather old and could with a bit of improvement.

- New Laser-tower model. I have built my own version but its still 'plain' and could be 'upgraded'.

- New Fighter drone model - again I done one but it could be better.

- New Cargo pods - another model ive done which could do with a upgrade,

- Squash mine model - isn't a triangle rather 'plain' now?

Any of those things would be great - even 1 would be good. Just let me know what you can do and ill email the models which I currently use. Its normally customarily that any modeller who helps gets their own sector and/or ship in the mod. The ship is between M6 to M5 but you need to make one. So you may want a sector instead which I can make or you.

That shouldn't be to hard to make ^^, but some of these are useless e.g. Lasertowers don't fire in OOS combat. ES turned OOS combat off for OWPs, Lasertowers etc. because the combat script cannot handle them in OOS, which makes them completly useless. Maybe Gazz OOS Combar rebalance script works with them, but i haven't tested this, yet.

Why do you need a new drone and Squash Minde model? You can barely see them. (Well, for the mine ^^ if you can get a clear view of a space mine, it's already to late isn't it Big grin )

Anyway, send me the models and i see what can be done Smile,

I never knew that about the laser-tower. I will have to look into it and see if I can do something with it.

hi,

sorry for the late response. I will take a look at your stuff once, we are done with MG-Mod 3.0.

I've found a Split Fighter M5 in your mod and made some changes to it, decreased the polys from 61000(crazy -.0) to 5000, added new engine effects and changed some of the textures, maybe you want to use it. You might want to scale it down, because i've changed it, primarily for personal use, as an M3. However, if you allow us to use it in the MG-Mod, that would be nice

Killertide made the original version but I would think he be okay with what you have done - just make sure to credit him as the original author. I cant say for certain but I think he be okay with it in another mod, especially since you took time at 'upgrading' rather than just imported it. However I dont want too many of the ships being took from the mod although - otherwise it turns into a ... you nick my ships, and ill nick yours - the mod loses some of it uniqueness (especially M0/1/2's).

I personally never take ships from another mod unless the original author as submitted to me. I have no contact from him now, so I have to resume responsibility for him. So that ship is fine to use in your MG-Mod mod. I am sure that you would like that way too and understand were I come from?

Ah thanx Smile, but I don't know if we use it in the end. We always give credit if we get permission and it ends in the mod, of course. I don't care if you take some of my stuff from the MG-Mod. However, i can't give you permission for anything else, because we only have the right use them, not to distribute them, but i can give you the contact adress of the author if you need something.

Again, sorry for the late response, but we want MG-Mod 3.0 ready when the Egosoft Superbox is out and our team is pretty small which means its a lot of work.

I still need a yaki battleship, if i can't find a proper model i have to make one myself.

btw, Killertide's models have a nice design, but some need an overhaul. The polygon count on some ships is far to high. I can rework them, if you want me to.

I am not sure what to suggest for a Yaki Battleship at the moment.

When you say about your stuff from you BG-Mod, do you mean the ships from this post?

i don't think he his inexperienced, his models are quite complex. I will reduce the polys oin the models that will improve the performance of the mod.

I see what you tried to do with the Khaak M3+ - go half way between the Khaak M3 Triangle design, to that of the M6 - so it 'fits' in more. Its a shame that the whole Khaak race didnt get re-modelled ships. I do like you Khaak M3+

The Boron dont have a M8 right? so you made one? looks good!

I could also do with that Yaki M1 - I can throw it into their home-sector! I could get Yaki's ships to undock from it, with the trail effects it would look cool - but it would need a hangar - maybe even quick release pods?

The Khaak need a major overhaul, but i don't know how they should look like :/, is it an organic or an machine/organic race?

Nope the Boron don't have one thats why i decided to make one. Well Egosoft uses the skate mesh, but its not buyable.

The khaak are very organic creatures, they are most like species 8472 (from Star Trek) have a spider twist to them, hence the long claw like ships. The old M3/4/5 dont really fit into this design - i think personally.

Any of those you wish to add, please email me them. They are all original models? - just asking Smile

Just reading your 'organic' khaak thing, You only ever see what they look like once, when kyle brennen gets taken by them and you only see the claw. I think they are more machine. All they have is Nividium, so how would they live, the machines probably need a controller, (kyle brennan, x2 last mission).
