Simply put, you don't.
The only way we have currently for playing windows games on linux is WINE.
http://www.winehq.org/
This is a program, which allows makes it possible to run windows programs in Linux. Now wine is not an emulator, and this way works a bit better then emulators, the problem is, it's still not the fastest thing ever, and you'll run into a lot of trouble.
You can check this out: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=23497 which has the versions of wine and X3 Terran Conflict listed, and a ratings and comments.
Just to make this clear, there is a big chance that the modloader won't work properly.

About my game, it's simple, X3 Reunion was "ported" to linux in 2008 by LinuxGamePublishing, which allows me to play the game natively. X3 Terran Conflict wasn't ported yet, and as far as I can tell, there are no plans of doing so.

Ok, this all sounds bad right? Let me lighten the day up a bit. Try to run it with wine, if it works...nice...if it doesn't and you have the power it takes, run a virtual machine http://www.vmware.com/ and install windows on the virtual. Run it from there.

Sorry to not have anything nicer for you m8.

dont think i have the time to be messing with all that in the hope of it running. im stuck with windows for my gaming needs. times taken up with my 2yr old son, work, gaming, and doing those things wives always want doing soon as i sit down Smile

sigs Wink cheers. its one of my better ones. i have a sweet program called ulead photo express on win XP and it made some great stuff with it. it wont run on 7 tho (not in any compatibility mode) so im lost. it could do nearly everything gimp and photoshop could do but i thought it was easier.

thanks for your efforts guys
