I am using X3R + Roguey's mod only.
I salvaged a ship in Pirate Citadel named "Hammerhead" for which I find no info on your site...
Looks like an M3+ with 5 guns and 2 rear turrets.
Any idea?

It is a 'special' M3+ ship created by killertide. It is based on Boron design. What do you think of the ship?

Powerful from the stats, and nice looking as well.
Although I didn't actually tried it too much yet.
But 2 turrets, man...
In general, I think that turrets on fighters are way imba:
Set to missile defense, you effectively negate the threat from enemy fighters.
I find that fighting M3s or M5s in another fighter is never a problem regardless of the number of enemies (except for kha'aks as you cannot evade their shots).
However a swarm of M4s can be different if they overwhelm you with missiles:
the lackluster interface and difficulties in seeing and selecting incoming missiles makes shooting down lots of missiles from many directions very random.
Unless you have a turret, that is.
So I think there is too big a gap between fighters with turrets and fighters without turrets.
Well, I think this is more of an egosoft problem who made selecting incoming missiles too difficult.
Although I didn't actually tried it too much yet.

The missiles are a bit of a mess - either not powerful enough, launched badly or 'spammed'. They need a re-do really, although most of the problem only ego can sort. Id like to seen a missile launch postions.
The hammerhead is a special ship and isnt sold, hence some nice 'extras'.

This ship, where can you get it? Also what sort of weapons can it hold in it's main and rear turrets slots. Also what shields does it hold?

You cant buy the ship, you could try and claim it. It should floats around killertide sector.

I think it was a randomly generated one (by Roguey's mod).
I didn't see it the first time I came there, although I might just have missed it...

I haven't seen a Hammerhead yet, but there are a couple of ships that aren't on your site or the read me, that I've encountered in the game:
- Caiman Extended
- Falcon Two
Also, I noticed that the Boron Barracuda has the Auto-Hull Repair system installed by default. Nice feature.

hi there, I saw your other post first and welcomed you there first - doh
The Falcon Two is simply the normal Falcon but with a rename because the Falcon One is the X2 variant. I think with the extended ship its simply one of the super fighters (egosoft had 2 - which was a little confusing).

Oh okay, that's cool. This is the first X game I've played so I don't know the history on all of the ships from the previous games.
I've been using the Xenon LX almost exclusively. 5 x 25MJ shields are really good.
