So i've spent hours looking for this everywhere but it never seems to work for me. The issue is this:

I have this completely legal Space Fuel complex and I need to get it operational, so I buy a freighter, assign it escorts and such. Then, I proceed to use the best buy command to buy some e-cells and have them delivered to the complex, indefinitely.

Problem is, the freighter does that, returns to the home base, unloads the e-cells and stops. I've even tried with a script that added a loop in the best buy/sell commands, nothing works.

I can't get my completely legal Empire up and running if I can't get my slaves to do the work for me Cry

Well have you tried the following;

- Set the ship homebase to the station,
- Then through the trade-menu's select buy ware for best price, then select the ware,
- Make sure there is enough money on the station,
- And finally check the range, is there enough in range (at the price you set),

Well I did do those two steps.

I did not add money to the station because I only wanted to unload the wares, not sell them to my own station. Or is it the same thing? (It seemed to work without money, because the freighter did transfer the wares to the station, it just won't go out and buy more automatically).

If he is homebased at the station, he cannot buy more if he has no money to do so.

You are not selling to your own station. You are buying from NPCs. Giving the command remote best buy uses your player account. Using the Buy ware at best price command when the freighter is homebased to a station/complex uses the station account.

Other trader types use the station account when they are homebased there as well. The MK3 traders for example will use a station account if they are homebased to one, even if they don't interact with it in any other way.
