My problem with the X3 games: the universe was/is dynamic in terms of economy. As for war, not so much. It got more interesting in TC, but with the first couple of hours of game play the AI destroyed the pirate bases and that was that. I had to stick to very specific areas to get any caps, or see some dynamic action.

Does that change in AP? I ask because I wonder if I should stick this on a list of things I should buy in the future, and since I don't know if Rebirth is coming out for OS X, I might be stuck with TC. For now I'm awaiting Diablo 3, but I'm wondering if it would be wiser to spice things up with a couple of mods rather than the expansion.
