A new expansion for xtc bridging the gap between x3 and rebirth that is pretty much a huge war >.<

This is the kind of warning we get from Egosoft when releasing a new game aka it's already out on steam after being announced.

I think it caught a lot of people off guard to be honest, however it should be a great thing to pass the time whilst we wait for Rebirth.
