In this thread, show everyone your complexes which you have been working on in X3AP. Ill start the ball rolling with my first complex in X3AP:

Better get building then
It will be interesting to see if anyone else has built some complexes. I am building complex 2 now (which is mainly for re-supplying my M7M - missiles for it can be a bit hard to find in large numbers).

I also have an open loop crystal 'Plex in Pluto and plans for a Hammer, Flail & Lasertower 'Plex in Twisted Skies, though that will have to wait till after the patch...
Somewhere out there is a Cobra Mk III with my name on it.

My small Energy XL Closed Loop system. I plan on doubling the size, so it generates 185k energy surplus. My hub is 5km from the west gate, so not only does it make it easier on my 2 CAGs, it also allows me to insta-Dock right after I jump into the system.

Woh, are those stations very close together or what? how did you get them like that?

I like the idea, gate in then use the docking computer and landed. Its a shame we cant dock capitals on complexes.

hit 5 >>
use arrows to highlight targeted station >>
number-pad directions till new station just clears existing station >>

Still will be a spaghetti mess. Warp to another sector, then warp in. Now look at your station tubes. All bent and awkward. After you drop the CCK, looks nice, but as soon as you warp out and warp in, your tubes will "settle".
Theres a law in tube perfection "Always make sure the spacing between your factories is at least 2 and Half tubes apart" ----Ryu
The CDRdave/ usual method is false IMO

The hub itself got chucked out around 15km away.
I start with the mines as these give the area that the 'plex will be in.
The Protein paste Factories went in next in a straight row, either N-S or E-W in this case. The Food Factories go in next alongside each other forming a deck with the crystal fabs and weapon factories just above them.
The SPP rises just above that from the centre of the deck.

Its a shame really complex havnt been improved since X3. These pipes always look like a mess sooner or later. Ive gave up trying to make a neat complex.

your complexes are so much neater than mine. Ive kind-of finished my second complex (its mainly for restocking my M7M) but does fairly well selling Terran MRE. Ill have to post some pictures soon of it.

All I have is a Terran MRE complex in mars, it makes a nice profit though.

I agree - Terran MRE does seem to sell well. Are you selling it at 291? or 292? (ie. just below average)?
