I like the Argon Nova Raider myself but the Eclipse is a very good ship too and I'm starting to add some to my fleet.

Don't forget to look at what the Split offer.
I like a lot of what they offer, no matter what class/size.

It's not what someone has done..it's about what they are about to do!

Just figured out the probable cause for the problem in the OP. I bet you had given another slow ship a follow command on your personal ship. This will cause your ship to match speed with the slower one. Noticed this when my Kestrel suddenly had a top speed of 154 m/s when I ordered my Boa to follow me while I AP'ed through a gate and docked.
