Hi there
Now that we have wings. I am interested in learning combat but like true trader, I suck royally at it. So if anyone in similar vein wants to try combat out, I would be interested in trying. Outfitting my bad ass Cobra, installed gimbled blast lasers and multi cannons. Got interdicted once and ran as fast as my little fingers could type

Well there is a bit of debate about fixed or gimbal weapons. Myself I would only recommend gimbal because fix weapons miss more than they hit. Ive been experimenting with weapons and found that Beam use too much power, pulse/burst are similar (good for shields) and multi-cannons are good for hull damage. So your idea with burst/mcannon sounds fine.

What are you having problems with combat?
