I couldn't quite make it back to my carrier before maintenance shut the servers down so I figured I'd wait out downtime and then get back to thr carrier afterward.

Now when I launch the game, I get maybe 2 seconds of audio (enough to hear the first two bass kicks from the theme) and that's it for the sound. The game goes through its shades preparation, but then crashes on planetary generation.

I'm on PC playing through Steam and I've thought to validate my game files, but that didn't seem to have any effect.

Has anyone come up against this before?

it may be because your carrier is parked to a small body or station..if it persists maybe try moving the carrier, or just to check have you tried landing somewhere else besides the carrier?
