Why does your ship slow down even when in space with FA off? I thought once flight assist was off nothing is going to stop it moving in a direction unless you yourself make it mobdro .

And on the flip side why is is that we cant continue to accelerate in FA off?

Is this all just game balance?

Hello, in my opinion, every ship in the game has mass, and mass influences the ship's inertia. Inertia is the resistance to changes in motion. Even with FA off, your ship will still have inertia, which means it will gradually slow down if no external forces (such as thruster input) act upon it. This behavior simulates the fact that objects in space experience the effects of inertia and require continuous propulsion to maintain a constant speed.
